These women were introduced to this less known cost effective and environmentally friendly menstrual product. Women need effective, safe, and affordable menstrual products. Ignorance, prejudice and costs can impede girls and women trying out menstrual cups. Weaving Dreams was able to introduce this life changing product , through the generosity of Ruth Lazerson. We couldn’t have done this without her support.

We received 100 cups from Ruth and gave away free menstrual cups to 30 women weavers who were willing to try it. After watching our instruction videos, these women were open to try the product. The ones that were skeptical were convinced by Capt. Sonam Chuki Sherpa sharing her personal experience and how life changing the product has been for working women like her.

Weaving Dreams is looking forward to the feedback from these women in the months to come. We are also excited to introduce the cups to another weaving community.
